W420 "RESCUE-ME is a small personal safety device, designed to ensure the safety of every member of the crew of a boat. It is easily applied to the life jacket by means of the appropriate bracket or with a fabric with hook closure. In the event of a fall into the sea, the W420 automatically enters into operation thanks to the sensors on the back of the device, transmitting a radio signal useful for locating the wreck. It W420 RESCUE ME is equipped with an activation/deactivation knob with safety lock to prevent accidental operation, a light signal [led] high efficiency to facilitate localization in poor visibility and a large button for TEST or manual activation. When the activation knob is in the OFF position, pressing the button activates a TEST procedure to verify the operation of the apparatus and the state of charge of the batteries. With the activation knob in the ARMED position, pressing the same button causes the alarm signal to be sent immediately. The W420 emits a radio signal on the international maritime frequencies als (channel 1 and 2), receivable from any ALS apparatus on board or from the SAR rescue units possibly alerted. A sophisticated integrated GPS receiver provides the location of the wreck to facilitate its location. The supplied batteries (3 limno, 3 Volts) guarantee a life time of 5 years (under standard environmental conditions] and are directly replaceable by the user. || W420 is an extremely easy to use device and, thanks to its ergonomic structure and the shape of the controls, easily activated even when the user is wearing gloves and/or work protections.
