NEW DRONE RESCUE SYSTEM
The continuous research and use of technology at the service of safety at sea has led Veleria San Giorgio to support this extraordinary project developed with the support of HDT and the Sant'Anna University of Pisa with the aim to offer the best support in case of necessity.
The VSG Rescue Drone has got countless features and advantages.
Among the main ones:
• Transport to the castaway of the life jacket engineered and designed by VSG.
• It allows the localization of a man at sea even at night.
• The castaway person can be rescued without stop the ship immediately.
• There is a direct contact with the castaway thanks to the infrared video camera and the VHF carried to the castaway.
• Controlled descent pulley system through the winch (patented by HDT) to transport the lifejacket to the castaway.
This project represents an important step ahead in the research and application of technology through artificial intelligence for safety at sea, offering essential support to ensure a timely rescue of those who are in difficulty.
