The new W470 is a small personal safety device, designed to ensure the safety of every crew member of a boat or any professional activity at sea. It can be installed on inflatable life jackets through the use of the appropriate flange or the convenient clip to attach to the oral tube. In the event of a fall into the sea, the W470 automatically enters into operation thanks to the sensors on the back of the device, and transmits a series of radio signals useful for locating the wreck. The W470 is equipped with an activation/ deactivation knob with safety lock to prevent accidental operation, a light signal (led) high efficiency to facilitate localization in poor visibility and a large button for TEST or manual activation. The plurality of messages issued offers a greater probability of the location and recovery of the shipwreck by any alerted SAR rescue units. A sophisticated 66-channel integrated GPS receiver quickly provides the location of the wreck. The supplied batteries (3 3 Volts LiMn02 batteries) guarantee a life time of 5 years (in standard environmental conditions) and are directly replaceable by the user. The W470 is extremely easy to use and, thanks to its ergonomic design and the shape of the controls, easily activated even when the user wears gloves and/or work protections, such as in offshore activities. W470 is also available in ATEX version (W470EX)
