Description

The new W422 "RESCUE-ME" is a small personal safety device designed to ensure the safety of every member of a vessel's crew.
It can be easily attached to the life jacket using the special bracket or with a hook-and-loop closure fabric. In the event of a fall overboard, the W422 automatically activates thanks to the sensors on the back of the device and transmits a radio signal useful for locating the person overboard.
The W422 "RESCUE ME" is equipped with an activation/deactivation knob with safety lock to prevent accidental activation
a highly efficient light signal (LED) to facilitate localisation in conditions of poor visibility, and a large button for TEST or manual activation.
When the activation knob is in the OFF position, pressing the button activates a TEST procedure useful for checking the operation of the device and the battery charge status.
With the activation knob in the ARMED position, pressing the same button causes the alarm signal to be sent immediately.
The W422 emits a radio signal on the international maritime frequencies AMRD Group B, receivable via our W406 receiver installed on board. A sophisticated integrated GPS receiver provides the position of the person overboard to facilitate his location.
The batteries supplied (3 LiMn02 batteries, 3 Volts) guarantee a life of 5 years (in standard environmental conditions) and are directly replaceable by the user.
The W422 is an extremely simple device to use and, thanks to its ergonomic structure and the shape of the controls, easily activated even when the user is wearing gloves and/or work protections.
